The ever wise Solomon tells us in the book of Ecclesiastes, “For everything there is a season, and a time for everything under the heavens.” I’m pretty sure Solomon wasn’t referring to outdoor summer parties, but it does relate rather well! One of my favorite aspects of summer is having friends over for a festive soirée with decadent food, fun and innovate decor, and maybe a little old school southern rock.
If this sounds like an evening at your home then I have the perfect event for you,
Nibble & Nosh and Everything Posh!
My awesomely talented friend, Rebekah A. Faulk, and I are so excited about Nibble & Nosh and Everything Posh! We have a great line up of amazing southern recipes with amped up taste and presentation, as well as creative DIY decor ideas full of personality and ease. Come iIndulge yourself in some of Rebekah’s Bacon, Lettuce and Fried Green Tomato Sliders with Spicy Pimento Cheese, her grilled desserts and appetizers, or one of her summer friendly beverages. In addition to her live cooking demonstration, I’ll show you how to set the scene with my low budget/high impact decor ideas. Come learn how to create custom table linens, unique lighting elements, easy floral arrangements and much more.
Rebekah is a long time friend and fellow southerner residing in Statesboro, Georgia. We met in college on the mission field in the Golden Isles of Georgia. From the moment we met we knew we were kindred spirits and have been the life of the party ever since. Her highly acclaimed food blog, Some Kinda Good, is ranked Urban Spoon’s #2 food blog in the state of Georgia. Aside from being The Statesboro Herald’s food columnist and host of Statesboro Cooks, a 30 minute cooking show, you may remember her from her appearance on ABC’s reality cooking competition, The Taste. With a flair for coastal cuisine and a personality as big as her curly locks, she’s a true southern belle that knows all about entertaining.
So I would like to personally invite you to Nibble & Nosh and Everything Posh at the Gadsden State Cherokee Arena in Centre, Alabama. Join us on Thursday, May 15 at 6 p.m. as we sing, laugh, and create our way to the perfect summer get together. Tickets are $5 in advance or $8 at the door. You can purchase your ticket at the Gadsden State Cherokee Campus.
We can’t wait to see you there as we prep for the party.
This event is presented by the Continuing Education Department at Gadsden State Community College.
